Prof. dr. R. van Hout was involved in databases on second language acquisition (ESF, LESLLA). He supervised two NWO projects on establishing large databases: the Dutch Sign Language Corpus, and the project on dialect dictionary data from the Brabant and Limburg area. He published articles on the theme of vulnerable learners.
